This recipes makes approx 2 to 2.5 cups worth – perfect to whip up and have with scones! I also love this with Greek yoghurt.
100g butter Zest of 1 blood orange Juice of 1.5 blood oranges 2 eggs 1 egg yolk 150g castor sugar
Pulse the zest and castor sugar for 5 seconds on speed 8 to create a “blood orange sugar” (5 sec /speed 8).
Place everything else into the bowl and then chop for 5 seconds on speed 7 (5 sec/speed 7).
Insert butterfly attachment and cook for 8 minutes on speed 3 at temp 80 (8 mins/80o/speed 3).
Note: This recipe can be made non-thermomixy by instead using your blender to combine the ingredients and then cooking them over the stove.
